My Innovation is basketball shoes

 

Basketball shoes are awesome. They come in a huge number of brands..all with a little bit of difference. Every famous basketball team play wearing these super shoes. So what is it about basketball shoes?

Basketball shoes change their details and designs every year. Many brands design basketball shoes, such as Nike,Puma and also Converse.

Converse became a  popular name in 1917. They designed the first basketball shoes in the 1920s.Converse is now owned by Nike. There are over 600 million pairs of converse shoes have been sold, just about every serious player had pair of all star’s ⭐️ on their feet.

Basketball shoes are designed to support the ankle and be comfortable. That is why they lace up and cover your ankles.

We went to Furnware on Thursday- it was fun and I learnt that the chairs we sit on at school are made here! We went as part of our inquiry learning..next we are innovating ourselves.

Pounamu

Rangimamao Tahata

Pounamu is the Maori name for greenstone. Pounamu is a generally found in rivers, mainly in the South Island. To Maori Pounamu is a taonga (treasure) and is often  carved into a shape to wear as a necklace.

The singing of waiata, loud and true, is what comes to my mind when I think of my special place. Kapa Haka with the clapping in rhythm and swishing of piupiu too.

Dishes stacking up in the kitchen, with the call going out for serving helpers.The steamy aroma of hangi and steamed pudding makes my tummy rumble.
